We are busily preparing for the upcoming school year at HPCUMC Preschool. I am sure you have questions regarding what your child's school year will look like during this pandemic. We want to assure you that we are staying abreast of the new guidelines created by the Ohio Department of Health.
New Guidelines for Childcare Programs - June 1, 2020
Reduced class sizes.*
Daily temperature monitoring.
Frequent hand washing from the time a child is dropped off to when they are picked up.
Intense sanitizing throughout the day of all common touch areas, toys, materials, equipment, etc. as well as sanitizing at the end of the day.
No field trips.
Wearing of masks by staff.
*Due to the physical size of our classrooms and small teacher-student ratios previously in place, we are able to adhere to the guidelines surrounding reduced class sizes.
The good news is that we have the upcoming summer months to make the best plan for our school community. We know that as full-time programs open in a few weeks, the guidelines that have been published will change and evolve.
We promise to keep you informed in the upcoming months. Thank you in advance for your partnership.
