Hyde Park Community UMC Preschool, a non-profit, play-based preschool program, is actively searching for substitute teachers.
​
When asked to substitute at our school you will ultimately be filling the role of the Assistant Teacher. Below is a description of your duties and responsibilities during your time on campus:

Assisting the teacher in the general supervision and management of the children ages 2 1/2-5 years of age in accordance with the policies and philosophies of the school and the church;

Assisting in implementing the daily program, during school hours, under the direction of the teacher;

Helping with general housekeeping tasks and equipment management in the classroom;

Maintaining state policies and procedures;

Assisting in implementing the curriculum and modeling Christian values and truths for students and co-workers;

Report to work at least 15 minutes before classes begin (8:30 AM) and remain at work at least 15 minutes after classes end (12:00 PM).
Substitute pay is $40.00 per session (3-hour class).​ Candidates must have experience working with young children.
