Hyde Park Community UMC Preschool, a non-profit, play-based preschool program, is searching for substitute teachers.

​      

When asked to substitute at our school you will ultimately be filling the role of the Assistant Teacher.  Below is a description of your duties and responsibilities during your time on campus:

 

• Assisting the lead teacher in the general supervision and management of the children ages 2 1/2-5 years of age in accordance with the policies and philosophies of the school and the church;

• Assisting in implementing the daily program, during school hours, under the direction of the teacher;

• Helping with general housekeeping tasks and equipment management in the classroom;

• Maintaining state policies and procedures;

• Assisting in implementing the Core Essentials Curriculum and modeling Christian values and truths for students and co-workers;

• Report to work at least 15 minutes before classes begin and remain at work at least 15 minutes after classes end.
