Hyde Park Community UMC Preschool, a non-profit, play-based preschool program, is searching for part-time Lead Preschool Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond.

Teaching opportunity includes working with children ages 3-5

The workday is roughly 8:15 AM - Noon

Part-time hours offered - Thursday-Friday
HPCUMC Preschool has strong beliefs and philosophies regarding child-led, play-based curriculum and empathic, respectful interactions with young children. We are looking for preschool teachers who embody these same beliefs and will treat our preschoolers with the respect and love that they deserve.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences for children

On-going observing and assessing individual children and their needs

Following all state licensing regulations at all times

Participating in on-going staff training and professional development

Developing mutually trusting relationships with families through daily communication and annual parent teacher conferences
Candidates must have experience working in an early childhood classroom with a play-based curriculum. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not required. Salary is based on education and experience.
