Hyde Park Community UMC Preschool, a non-profit, play-based preschool program, is searching for a part-time Assistant Preschool Teacher for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.

​

·       Teaching opportunity includes working with children ages 3-5

·       Part-time hours - Monday-Friday, roughly 8:15 AM - Noon

​

HPCUMC Preschool has strong beliefs and philosophies regarding child-led, play-based curriculum and empathic, respectful interactions with young children. We are looking for a preschool teacher who embodies these same beliefs and will treat our preschoolers with the respect and love that they deserve.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

·       Assisting with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences for children

·       On-going observing and assessing individual children and their needs

·       Following all state licensing regulations at all times

·       Participating in on-going staff training and professional development

·       Developing mutually trusting relationships with families through daily communication and annual  parent-teacher conferences

Candidates must have experience working in an early childhood classroom with a play-based curriculum. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not required. Salary is based on education and experience.
